Coconut Grove

Miami Metrozoo
One of the world's great zoos, the Miami Metrozoo houses more than 900 wild animals in a cage free setting that closely approximates the animals' natural habitats and gives the visitor the feeling of embarking on an international safari.

Large, open-air exhibits allow visitors to enjoy beautiful and endangered wildlife at a safe yet remarkably close range. With nearly 300 developed acres on a 740-acre parcel of land, Metrozoo is the only zoo in the continental United States located in a subtropical climate. This enables the Zoo to showcase animals that cannot easily be exhibited in colder climates. Trek through Asia and see Asian River Otters, Komodo Dragons, and Bengal Tigers. Hike the African Plains with giraffes, zebras and lions. Walk about Australia with koalas, kangaroos and wallabies.

Miami Seaquarium
Looking out over the majestic Biscayne Bay, the Miami Seaquarium boasts a variety of attractions that are sure to keep the entire family happy all day long. See any number of the 26 aquariums containing a variety of tropical fish from all over the world and other forms of marine life. Explore the new Tropical Wings exhibit dedicated to the rainforest and see some rare and amazing creatures like toucans, other exotic birds and even poisonous frogs! But that's only the beginning!

You can also watch the "Flipper Dolphin Show," the "Killer Whale and Dolphin Show" and see these amazing creatures do jumps, flips, and spins which will leave you dazed for days!
